CCPA Compliance

DAO Peak is committed to respecting your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and its amendment, the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). This page explains how these laws apply to your use of our website and how you can exercise your rights.

Scope and Applicability

Although DAO Peak does not collect personal information through user registration or account creation, we may automatically gather certain data through standard website technologies such as cookies, web beacons, and server logs. This includes IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and usage patterns. The CCPA/CPRA applies to this information if it can identify, relate to, describe, or be reasonably linked to you or your household.

Your Rights Under CCPA/CPRA

As a California resident, you have the following rights:

  • Right to Know: You may request details about the personal information we have collected about you in the past 12 months, including the categories of information, sources, and purposes for collection.
  • Right to Delete: You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions under the law.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: You have the right to opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. While we do not sell personal information for monetary consideration, we may allow third-party analytics and advertising partners to collect data through cookies for targeted advertising, which may constitute "sharing" under CPRA.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: You may exercise your rights without being denied goods or services, charged different prices, or given a different level of service.
  • Right to Correct: You may request correction of inaccurate personal information we hold about you.

How We Comply

DAO Peak does not maintain a database of personally identifiable user information. We use third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) that collect limited, anonymized data for site performance and traffic analysis. We do not knowingly collect data from minors under 16. We do not sell personal information as defined by CCPA, and we limit data sharing to service providers bound by contractual obligations.

Data We Process

The personal information we may collect includes:

  • IP address
  • Device type and browser information
  • Pages visited and time spent on site
  • Geolocation data (approximate, based on IP)
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies

Legal Basis for Processing

Under CCPA/CPRA, we rely on legitimate business purposes for processing, including website functionality, security, analytics, and improving user experience. We do not use personal information for purposes beyond those disclosed at collection.
